I went to see Drive tonight with Joe and Nickie. It was really good - I found the characters and story really affecting (more than I usually would with so little dialogue and so much nuance) and the whole thing looked and sounded beautiful. It could have done with some more car chases IMO, but I enjoyed it a lot nevertheless. I reckon it's a future cult classic. We recreated our own hommage to the film's brutal lift scene in a bus stop on the way home, with Nickie as Ryan Gosling/the Driver, Joe as Carey Mulligan and me as the assassin:
