We went through to Liverpool on Friday evening to watch Bad Taste Barbies play at a screening of Bruce La Bruce's flick LA Zombie, hosted by our pals Chew Disco and the Abandon Normal Devices festival. We had a gay old time! Barbies were great as usual, and I enjoyed the doomy electro of headliners Severin. The less said about the film the better, but in a nutshell it's modern porn legend Francois Sagat wandering around LA in various shades of well-styled distress (and on-again/off-again green make-up and fake teeth) fucking models who are way too buff to be homeless with a weird blue-spunking, sweet-potato-shaped cock. That really is it. It's a porn movie with added (really bad) gore, supposedly meaningful lingering shots of Sagat and some very heavy handed metaphors. It was terrible, but we enjoyed the experience anyway! Here's the trailer, and some pics by Lisa Aspin:

Motor Club @ Islington Mill, Friday June 3rd

The other week I was asked, last minute style, to fill in for Punk Bunny at Motor Club at the Islington Mill, after Punk Bunny and Black Barbie were denied access to the UK by border controls. Motor Club is a new Manchester-based alt-queer party by the promoter's of Liverpool's fabelhaft Chew Disco. It was awesome, and I got to debut a new leather daddy-meets-Prince look in front of a very up-for-it crowd. Also on the bill were our mates the Bad Taste Barbies, the awesome Penelope, Dirtblonde and Severin. Here are some pics, which came out not too shoddy:

Here's a remix wot I dun of Kurt Dirt's drag queen hi-nrg rock troupe Bad Taste Barbies, which was heavily influenced by Madonna's "Burning Up". I'm happy with this, and apparently the band now want to perform this version in their live shows!

Zombie Pride 2010

I did a short live set at Zombie Pride for Halloween this year - it were a right good laugh! Even the annoying French people who invaded the stage were useful, as I could just shout at them when I forgot the lyrics to "Paranoid". There was a great zombie walk off later on too, with the winner(s) being given a 5 litre bottle of lube. I wonder how long it will last.



I also got to see for the first time the fantastic Bad Taste Barbies in action. I really liked their Hi-NRG rock show, so much that I wish I had gone on before them. I reckon we will be working on stuff together at some point! Unfortunately there seems to be only one picture of me from this historic occassion, but it is a good picture:
